FAQ's

Is Riverandriptide.com site secure?

Yes it is! We use Network Soultions and Authorize.net for encryption of all personal information. River & Riptide Anglers does not retain credit card information at any time.

What is the best way to contact River & Riptide Anglers regarding my order?

You may contact our customer service department at 401-392-1919.

Monday 12:00 – 5:00PM, Tuesday – Friday 11:00 – 7:00PM and Saturday 10:00 – 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time, or e-mail at info@riverandriptide.com.

How long does it take to process my order?

If you place your order by 2pm and we have your items in stock, it will go out the next day. If you have an emergency, call us and we’ll get your order processed as soon as possible.

We’ll even do this for you…if for some reason we don’t have the item in stock, but it’s available from the manufacturer, we will arrange for the manufacturer to ship it directly to you at no additional charge. We will let you know this when you place your order.

If neither us nor the manufacturer has the product in stock, we will let you know when you place your order. At the same time, we should be able to give you an estimated delivery date.

While we do our best to keep inventory levels consistent, there may be times we are out of a specific item. We will do our best to provide you with the most accurate, up to date information regarding availability of product.

Other than drop ship, packages ship directly from our store in Coventry, Rhode Island (The Ocean State). Standard ground shipping takes 3 to 7 business days, depending upon where you live. You can always upgrade your shipping to get your items faster. For your convenience we offer We offer US Parcel Post for standard shipping. In most cases we ship US Postal Priority Insured which usually takes three days throughout the country. International orders are also accepted. Due to our secure gateway we suggest international customers utilize PayPal at check-out for delay free transactions  

What forms of payment does River & Riptide Anglers accept?

Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express & PAY-PAL. We also accept certified checks and money orders “Outside of Our Shopping Cart System.” Just call us at 1-401-392-1919, our staff is available Monday 12-5pm Tuesday through Friday 11AM to 7PM and Saturday 10AM to 5PM Eastern Standard Time. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER: DUE TO OUR SECURE GATEWAY WE RECOMMEND INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS UTILIZE PAY-PAL FOR ONLINE PURCHASES WITH NO INTERUPTION TO YOUR ORDER.

I’m interested in placing an order, but am not comfortable placing it online…what should I do?

Don’t sweat it! Shopping online at www.riverandriptide.com is a safe and secure. But if you still aren’t convinced, just call us at 401-392-1919,our staff is always available to take orders over the phone.

Can I make changes to my order once it is placed?

This could get tricky, once we receive your order, it is transmitted immediately to our computer system where it is processed and shipped out as quickly as possible. If your order has not been shipped, we’ll be happy to change it. If you need to change your order, please let us know as soon as possible, by either calling us at 401-392-1919 or by sending us an email at: info@riverandriptide.com.

What if my product breaks?

River & Riptide Anglers carries the finest fly fishing brands the world has to offer. With these brands come the best warranties in the business. It is important to understand the warranties prior to purchasing your product. These warranties can be viewed at the manufacturer’s web site for the products purchased. If you need assistance facilitating a warranty just give us a call and we’ll be glad to assist you.

Shipping

How do I track my order?

Give us a call or send us an e-mail with your contact information and order number. We’ll let you know exactly where your products are in the transit process. Please note; Most of our packages ship US Postal Service. International order almost always ship US Postal Priority International. Upon request we will provide you with international customs declaration number in effort to track your products.

I live outside the continental United States; can you ship to me?
Absolutely! We can ship most items outside the continental US by the United States Postal Service. River & Riptide Anglers will is not responsible for local duties and taxes, nor will we mark the product as a gift or reduce the retail price paid for the item (s); this is illegal, penalties can be a $10,000 fine imprisonment and loss of export sales. River & Riptide Angler reserves the right to choose the counties it ship its products. Due to a history of lost packages and fraudulent transactions select countries be declined from ordering.

What happens if something I order is not in stock?

River & Riptide Anglers is a free standing full service fly shop. We do our best to maintain adequate inventory annually. If an item noted in our shopping cart states "Ships From Manufacturer" it means we are currently out of stock and we'll process the order and ship directly from the manufacturer.

Returns & Exchanges

What is returnable and not returnable?

You can send back, for any reason, any item within 14 days of invoice providing the product is unused and its original and saleable packaging. If it’s used or not in original packaging, we can’t take it back. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. We will allow 30 day returns for international customers. Please return products with a signature required at our end for efficiency. 

Is there a restocking fee?

Absolutely not!

What will I receive if I return product?

You will receive a full refund if it falls under the restrictions listed above. Returns must be received within 14 days of purchase. For any returns made after 14 days, we will issue you a store credit. Returns & exchanges are subject to orginal shipping costs.

Are prices on riverandriptide.com the same as they are at the store?

Absolutely. In fairness to our specialty industry we are not allowed to discount our products unless an item is discontinued So you can always be sure that whether you purchase online or in our retail store, we are charging the same fair price set by the manufacturer that is reflective of the cost of doing business.

Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information from you when you register on our website or place an order with us.

The type of information that we gather are your name, address, e-mail address, and any other information that is necessary to give to process your order. We do not supply or sell any information at any time to third parties nor do we keep credit card information from online orders. Each time you place an order with us online, you will have to provide your credit card. This is because your credit card is immediately debited and there is no need to collect credit card information. This process is just one way we chose to secure your privacy. You may receive e-mails from River & Riptide Anglers with regard to new product arrivals, store specials, and fishing reports. This e-mail process is not shared with other customers on our e-mail list. If you do not wish to receive emails from us, just let us know by sending us an e-mail at info@riverandriptide.com.

We may, in certain instances, disclose your personal information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary, to protect your rights or the rights of River & Riptide Anglers or others. We may also disclose your personal information when it is required by law.

River & Riptide Anglers Rewards Program

We want thank our loyal customers for supporting our shop. What better way to reward you than by offering rewards points which can be redeemed to receive discounts on future purchases.

Here’s how it works:

  • Purchase $75.00 worth of product and receive a reward point which can be redeemed on a future purchase. A reward point is equal to 3% of your future purchase. Spend $150.00 and receive 2 reward points. The reward points add up every time you hit the $75.00 threshold.
  • Rewards, if achieved, can only be redeemed at the time of your next purchase.
  • The more reward points achieved the more often you can redeem each time you make a future purchase. Even when redeeming an accumulated reward point on a current purchase, the purchase price on that purchase will count towards the achievement of additional reward points.

    Example: Visit the shop for the first time after the effective date of the rewards program and spend $75.00. This purchase earns 1 reward point to redeem toward a future purchase. Stop back and buy that dream rod for $300. If you would like to redeem the reward point previously earned, you’ll receive 3% off your purchase while earning additional rewards for every $75.00 spent at that time. So for a $300 purchase you would earn 4 reward points. Note: Only a single reward can be redeemed at the time of a future purchase but the discounts for that reward point applies to the entire purchase. So in the example above, the first $75 purchase earned 1 reward point that resulted in a $9 discount on the $300 purchase. The more you spend…the more you earn in discounts.

    What a great way to keep you coming back to visit River & Riptide Anglers.

    There is a catch, reward points expire every year on December 31st so be sure to treat yourself for that special holiday gift before your rewards expire. But don’t worry, after Christmas you can return all the gifts from your wife that you hate for cash and come back in January and spend your way back into discounts!

    Please note: River & Riptide Anglers reserves the right to discontinue this program at any time without notification. In addition select manufacturers may be excluded from this program as well as items on sale which exceed the discount offered by the current reward. In addition, customers who purchase products online must request to be enrolled in our rewards program. At this time rewards cannot be redeemed via online purchases however, those online customers wishing to purchase can contact the shop and we can execute your order verbally. At that point we can manually enter your REWARD redemption.
  • Tax, repairs, shipping & handling, guide services, tying classes & seminars do not qualify for earning or redeeming rewards points. Stretch Those Dollars by signing up for River & Riptide Anglers Rewards Program. It’s simple, click the Cash for details or contact the shop.
