FAQ’s

Is Riverandriptide.com site secure?
Yes it is! We use GeoTrust and Authorize.net for encryption of all personal information. River & Riptide Anglers does not retain credit card information at any time.

What is the best way to contact River & Riptide Anglers regarding my order?
You can contact our customer service department  at  401-392-1919
Monday 12:00 – 5:00PM, Tuesday – Friday 11:00 – 7:00PM and Saturday 10:00 – 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time, or e-mail at info@riverandriptide.com

How long does it take to process my order?
If you place your order by 2pm and we have your items in stock, it will go out the next day. If you have an emergency, call us and we’ll get your order processed as soon as possible.

We’ll even do this for you…if  for some reason we don’t have the item in stock, but it’s available from the manufacturer, we will arrange for the manufacturer to ship it directly to you at no additional charge. We will let you know this when you place your order.

If neither us nor the manufacturer has the product in stock, we will let you know when you place your order. At the same time, we should be able to give you an estimated delivery date.

While we do our best to keep inventory levels consistent, there may be times we are out of a specific item. We will do our best to provide you with the most accurate, up to date information regarding availability of product.

Other than drop ship, packages ship directly from our store in Coventry, Rhode Island (The Ocean State). Regular ground shipping takes 2 to 5 business days, depending upon where you live. You can always upgrade your shipping to get your items faster. For your convenience  we offer UPS Next Day, Second Day, Three Day Select, and Standard/Ground shipping. In most cases we ship US Postal Priority which usually takes three days throughout the country. International Shipments require a quote prior to purchase. Just e-mail our customer service staff at info@riverandriptide.com and we’ll get back to you immediately with the most economical price to get you your products.

What forms of payment does River & Riptide Anglers accept?
Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also accept certified checks and  money orders “Outside of Our Shopping Cart System.”  Just call us at 1-401-392-1919, our staff is available Monday 12-5pm Tuesday through Friday 11AM to 7PM and Saturday 10AM to 5PM Eastern Standard Time.  We will gladly provide you with the total cost of your order.

I’m interested in placing an order, but am not comfortable placing it online…what should I do?
Don’t sweat it! Shopping online at www.riverandriptide.com is a safe and secure. But if you still aren’t convinced, just call us  at 401-392-1919,our staff is always available to take orders over the phone.

Can I make changes to my order once it is placed?
This could get tricky, once we receive your order, it is transmitted immediately to our computer system where it is processed and shipped out as quickly as possible. If your order has not been shipped, we’ll be happy to change it. If you need to change your order, please let us know as soon as possible, by either calling us at 401-392-1919 or by sending us an email at: info@riverandriptide.com.

What if my product breaks?
River & Riptide Anglers carries the finest fly fishing brands the world has to offer. With these brands come the best warranties in the business. It is important to understand the warranties prior to purchasing your product. These warranties can be viewed at the manufacturer’s web site for the products purchased. If you need assistance facilitating a warranty just give us a call and we’ll be glad to assist you.

How do I track my order?
Give us a call or send us an e-mail with your contact information and order number. We’ll let you know exactly where your products are in the transit process.

 I live outside the continental United States; can you ship to me?
Absolutely! We can ship most items outside the continental US by the United States Postal Service, All International shipments MUST BE QUOTED AS RATES VARY CONSIDERABLY. Duties and tariffs are not the responsibility of River & Riptide Anglers. You can contact our customer service department  at 401-392-1919 Monday 12:00 – 5:00PM, Tuesday – Friday 11:00 – 7:00PM and Saturday 10:00 – 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time or e-mail at info@riverandriptide.com.

What happens if something I order is not in stock?
If an item is on back order you will receive an e-mail notification prior to shipment with your approval to back order or cancel an item. We will do our best to keep only in-stock items listed on the web site for purchase.

Returns & Exchanges

What is returnable and not returnable?
You can send back, for any reason, any item within 14 days of invoice providing the product is unused and its original and saleable packaging. If it’s used or not in original packaging, we can’t take it back. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Is there a restocking fee?
Absolutely not!

What will I receive if I return product?
You will receive a full refund if it falls under the restrictions listed above.  Returns must be received within 14 days of purchase. For any returns made after 14 days, we will issue you a store credit.

Are prices on riverandriptide.com the same as they are at the store?
Absolutely.  In fairness to our specialty industry we are not allowed to discount our products unless an item is discontinued So you can always be sure that  whether you purchase online or in our retail store, we are charging the same fair price set by the manufacturer that is reflective of the cost of doing business.


Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information from you when you register on our website or place an order with us.
The type of information that we gather are your name, address, e-mail address, and any other information that is necessary to give to process your order.  We do not supply or sell any information at any time to third parties nor do we keep credit card information from online orders.  Each time you place an order with us online, you will have to provide your credit card.  This is because your credit card is immediately debited and there is no need to collect credit card information.  This process is just one way we chose to secure your privacy. You may receive e-mails from River & Riptide Anglers with regard to new product arrivals, store specials, and fishing reports. This e-mail process is not shared with other customers on our e-mail list. If you do not wish to receive emails from us, just let us know by sending us an e-mail at info@riverandriptide.com

We may, in certain instances, disclose your personal information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary, to protect your rights or the rights of River & Riptide Anglers or others. We may also disclose your personal information when it is required by law.
